Hi! I have an idea, but I'm afraid to publish it here. What should I do? What if it gets stolen and used by other people?

soon there will be a closed club where we will implement ideas. And we will have one common legal protection. Did you buy Kaiju Legends?

Hi! I have an idea, but I'm afraid to publish it here. What should I do? What if it gets stolen and used by other people?
I understand your concern, and this is an important issue. Our rules are aimed at protecting users' intellectual property rights. Here are a few points that might help you:

  • Copyright: According to the forum rules, you retain the copyright to all content you post. This means that even if you share your idea here, it remains your property. Moreover, other users can only quote your materials with proper attribution and an active link to the original source.
  • Idea protection: However, it's important to remember that patent laws and copyright laws differ. Ideas themselves are generally not protected by copyright, while patents protect specific technical solutions and inventions. If your idea could be used to create something innovative, you may want to consider patenting it before sharing it publicly.

Yes, I understand that this doesn't seem like something concrete. But in the end, only the court and the law can provide protection. All we can do is follow the legal procedures and rules. However, we consulted with knowledgeable people, and they advised either recording the information on a blockchain to establish the date of your idea’s creation, which costs money by the way, or doing something much simpler — sending all these messages to your email, where they are time-stamped and serve as good evidence in court. It's very straightforward here since all messages are quoted when they go to email as notifications, both to users and moderators. So the problem is almost solved! I'll also create a banner with a copyright notice to label the ideas, and that's it. I consider the matter closed.

I have good news for everyone regarding copyright protection. I found a service called originstamp.com, where they add timestamps on the blockchain for specific files. I’ve already compiled all the articles collected here into one file and added timestamps in both the Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains. The file is hashed and sent to be recorded on these two blockchains. So, the copyright issue is partially resolved. We now have another piece of evidence for the originality of our ideas (in addition to the texts sent to email services, which remain there with a timestamp). Now they’re also on the main blockchains. So feel free to share your ideas!

Don't post your ideas here! Once my private business club is up, you can share your idea and start developing it right away. Here, competitors can still read it and implement it differently without directly copying the idea. There have already been such cases. I have another business idea, and no copyright can protect it. Whoever launches it first and succeeds is the winner. This idea is literally in the air! I can't wait to launch the site to start developing it! It can replace two services at the price of one. :)

What’s stopping your competitors from gaining access to your 'exclusive' club and using the ideas from there?

In the club, there will be penalties for such actions. I haven't yet figured out how to catch and punish offenders, but I think this will be outlined in the club agreement. I'm still considering it. I've only come up with the term 'deferred punishment' so far. It’s like having a sword of Damocles hanging over these businesspeople until we gain enough strength to take them to court and win everything for ourselves (which will be specified in the closed club agreement).
